In  vehicle Airbags system often occurs the seat occupation detection sensor (SODS) fault.

When this fault presents, the Airbag computer register SODS error and "Airbag" or "SRS" light will glow while you are driving. In case of collision, Airbag system becomes passive and all airbags will not deploy.

To eliminate this fault, you must order the new occupation detection sensor at car dealer, disassemble the seat and change it.

This procedure often requires a lot of time, because usually dealer don't have in stock the required SODS for this model and he must order it from the manufacturer. In this period of time the driving is not safe. To quick solve this kind of problem, you can temporary mount  the occupation detection sensor emulator , developed in our company.

There are two main types of occupation detection sensor emulators for  front passenger seat Airbag system: “ODSE-O” and “ODSE-N”.

Occupation detection sensor emulator “ODSE-O” :

The “ODSE-O” reports to Airbag computer, that the front passenger seat is always occupied.

RESULT: In case of collision, depending on the strength, all front passenger airbags and front passenger safety belt igniter will deploy.

WARNING!!!

Don't use this type of emulator in vehicles when child-safety seat is used in the front passenger seat, otherwise the airbag could bash the safety seat with a force that could seriously injure or kill a baby.

Occupation detection sensor emulator “ODSE-N” :

The “ODSE-N” reports to Airbag computer, that the front passenger seat is not occupied.

RESULT: In case of collision, the front passenger airbags will not deploy. This type of emulator is intended for vehicles when child-safety seat is used in the front passenger seat.

Connection:

 "G" to the ground, "K" - signal, "15" to +12V
